Trailer Alert : "Akhanda 2: Tandavam" - The real question is - can Boyapati Srinu and Nandamuri Balakrishna get viewers on the edge of their seats for real this time around? The sequel certainly seems to be gunning for the big time, trying to top the first installment in every way possible. And with Balakrishna playing two roles - Akhanda and Muralikrishna - you know that intensity is gonna be ratcheted up a whole notch.

Boyapati style, the trailer is an action-packed thrill ride all the way from start to finish - an endless stream of bad guys getting booted around & bombastic language spouted at breakneck speed. But then again, it's those moments when Balakrishna slips into Aghora Akhanda mode that really get the juices flowing, giving fans even more reason to get excitement in the air.
That one about Veerabhadra coming back to life to exact some serious retribution - talk about gratuitous one-liners that practically have you yelling with delight at the cinematic spectacle unfolding on screen. This time around, though the story seems like a whole new ball game - weaving together aspects of Hinduism, national security & even some black magic thrown into the mix.
When that famous "Hara Hara Shambho" riff kicks in - & trust me, the music is just as good as the visuals - you get that shiver down your spine because S.S. Thaman's background score is absolutely mind-blowing. Not to mention the sets & action choreography courtesy of Ram-Laxman - just as polished as anything you'd see in a top flight Pan India production.
Balakrishna on screen is just the clincher - pure theatre magic that grabs your attention & refuses to let go. He's not alone of course - Harshali Malhotra brings a badly needed female perspective to the table, while the supporting cast - which includes Samyukta Menon & Aadhi Pinisetty in key roles - does a great job of fleshing out the story.
Even if 'Akhanda 2' trailer seems to focus a bit more on action & conversation this time around, there's still an unmistakable hint of family & emotional depth that made the first installment so beloved.
All said & done though - "Akhanda 2" trailer is a total adrenaline-fueled ride that's guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. It's shaping up to be one wild box office ride with a potential for a serious 'tandavam' because it's got ten times as much energy & excitement as the first installment.
