Dhanush is a talented actor and director who has made his mark as an actor and director. He has impressed with emotional stories like 'Power Paandi' and has also directed big action films like 'Rayan'. Now, he is back with the film 'Idli Kottu' ('Idli Kadai' in Tamil). The trailer of this film was released recently and has generated a lot of interest among the audience. The trailer makes it clear that this is an emotional story woven around a simple idli kottu business.

The trailer highlights the village atmosphere and the value of family bonds from start to finish. The protagonist Murugan (Dhanush) lives with his father (Raj Kiran) who runs a small idli shop. For him, the idli shop is not just a business, it is a symbol of their family's pride and tradition.

But Murugan dreams of growing and expanding the business. It is against this backdrop that he asks his father to buy modern machinery. However, his father confidently says that the taste of handmade idlis cannot be achieved with machines. This scene beautifully shows the differences in thinking between father and son.

The key turning point in the trailer is when Murugan leaves his village for a job in a large hotel management company. There, he finds Arun Vijay as his boss. Here, on the one hand, Murugan is rising up the ranks, bringing profits to the company with his talent. But, his mind is on his father and the idli shop.

Unfortunately, Murugan, a victim of a corporate conspiracy or a personal conflict of self-respect, decides to return to his hometown and restart his father's idli kottu. The challenges he faces on this journey and his struggle for self-respect are the main theme of the film.

Some of the dialogues in the trailer are very impressive. The dialogue "They say everything can be done with machines but taste comes only with the mind" conveys the emotion of the film and the value given to tradition. Another dialogue "What we do in life should not be done only for income.. but should also be done for enjoyment" indicates the deeper message of the story.

The music provided by G.V. Prakash Kumar, especially the background music, elevates the mood of the film. The performances of actors like Raj Kiran, Nithya Menon, Shalini Pandey, Arun Vijay further strengthen the trailer. Dhanush in particular looked very natural as a chef, a young man from an ordinary family.

The trailer makes it clear that the film is going to be a mix of 'raw' emotions, family bonds, drama, and action. The film is set to release in Telugu and Tamil on October 1, 2025. Overall, the 'Idli Kottu' trailer has made the audience believe that they are going to watch a feel-good film.
