Tom Hardy recently made some exciting comments about a Spider-Man and Venom crossover movie. He revealed that Sony and Marvel Studios were close to bringing the two popular characters together in a single movie.
However, Hardy himself admitted that the idea has not yet come to fruition, which is something that has left him somewhat disappointed. Speaking about the possibility of reprising his role as Eddie Brock, he said that his children would love to see a Spider-Man and Venom movie.

However, Hardy clarified that Sony and Marvel Studios have no plans to make the crossover happen anytime soon. He revealed that Sony's Spider-Man universe is currently on an indefinite hiatus, and that there are no other Spider-Man-related projects in the works, except for Destin Daniel Cretton's "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," which is set to be released in 2026. While this is disappointing news for fans, Hardy seems to be taking a positive view of the matter.
In an interview with AP News, Hardy said that he had never seriously discussed a Venom and Spider-Man film together. He made it clear that he had completely stepped away from Sony's Venom franchise after "Venom: The Last Dance" and was no longer a part of that universe.
However, Hardy said that he would love the opportunity to star with Spider-Man, especially the idea that his children would enjoy watching it. These comments reflect not only his personal interest, but also the hopes of his fans.

Finally, it seems that the possibility of Tom Hardy's Venom and Tom Holland's Spider-Man appearing on screen together seems to be a distant dream for now. Both Sony and Marvel are pursuing projects in different directions, which makes the combination of the two anti-heroes and heroes even more difficult. Still, Hardy's comments are keeping the debate about this dream combination alive, and it remains to be seen what happens in the future.
